It must be spring as all the signs are around me: tax season, baseball’s spring training, College basketball’s March Madness, snow/rain/sunshine (sometimes all in the same day depending on where you live), cabin fever and the urge to get out. It is also doctor season for me.
My regular doctor says my lab tests are all good and my blood pressure is under control. My kidney doctor says my kidneys are functioning well. And I just got the results back from the scan which tells me my pancreas looks good with no new growths since my surgery of two years ago. So life for me is ok aside from the doldrums (spring doldrums maybe?).
I saw my ex Saturday and even she is showing signs of improvement. She has expressed a desire to start eating again so the doctor has allowed her to have some liquids and some applesauce and pudding. It must be nice for her to taste her foods again as you cannot taste anything from that tube pushing that blah-looking fluid into your stomach. And they are getting her up in a chair every day. So those are all good signs.
On the other hand mom is in having more medical tests. She is having some medical issues they are watching closely. And it cannot be good for her respiratory system that she smokes every day. I want to get up to see her soon, and I want to get up and see my sister as well. It must be spring if I want to get into the vehicle and go somewhere, especially to go see my family.
I’m actually selling some stories over at Riwas Reads, and mom is pleased as punch. She must like knowing I can make a few dollars off my creative writing abilities. It is certainly an encouraging shot to my ego to know that people are willing to pay to read some of my tales. It makes me want to keep working hard to put out a good product that flows well and is fun to read. And it makes me want to work just as hard to keep posting to the library as well.
I am reposting some older stories here while occasionally putting up something new. I am also editing some stories to repost in the hopes that I can improve on them and make them even better. After all, I appreciate those who take the time to come and read my stories. I want to put out something that makes your visit here enjoyable.
I want to thank those who have contributed so far by allowing me to put up their stories. It is nice to give you a different author to read now and then. I feel their stories have really contributed to the library as a whole.
I hope you are having an enjoyable spring and that the snow in your area is finally melting away. I hope you are getting out and enjoying working in your yard as I can no longer do that by living in a second floor apartment. And I hope and pray that all your medical tests are coming out fine and that you and your family are looking forward to a healthy and enjoyable spring and a wonderful summer.
Thanks so much for stopping by…
