May stories/rewards will fall off at the end of June to make room for July rewards.

Mom has gotten some much-needed help this month with her back. As a result, she is moving around much, much better. Now she gets up with a lot less pain, although she wisely avoids the sofa. But her car is acting up again. There is a concern that mice have been nibbling on the wires in her engine once more. She’s been having mouse problems for a while now, but I hear she’s not the only one having issues with them little critters around here. And to add to all that, we had a wicked hail storm a couple weeks ago. There was a lot of damage, and it shredded some corn fields and the leaves off a lot of trees.

I guess I’ve finally reached “that age”. I don’t know what age it is supposed to be, but for me it means I’ll be going in to have cataract surgery at the end of this month. Mom had that done about twenty years ago, and said it was no big deal. And of course, 20 years of medical advances means mine will no doubt be even less of a hassle. It sounds like I’ll be spending more time doing paperwork and waiting than the time of the actual surgery.

Since I don’t know how my eyes will be affected, I plan on having next month’s stories uploaded in advance before I go in for surgery. Patreon has a nice feature where I can make uploads and then schedule them to pop out on certain dates. That way I don’t forget my uploads. And at my age I’ve noticed my “forgetter” has been acting up a lot more than it used to. So my goal is to get all the stories uploaded around the end of the month so you will get them in a timely manner on the dates I schedule.

June’s been a crazy, crazy month; hasn’t it? It sure feels like something big is coming, doesn’t it? I hope all of you are doing well. I’m so very appreciative of all of you. Please take real good care of yourselves and your families. And thank you so very, very much for being my patrons.
